Hello. I'm writing a small video app, just for fun and for personal use for iPhone4. Here i'm confuse a lot about the type of codes that i should write into the application so that when i tap on a video it should play the video automaticaly in playback using the inbuild video app on the phone. Many apps out there doing what i'm talking about, apps like online videos, daily motion etc... My videos are going to be in 3gpp format and sometimes avi. Thanks in advance if anyone can provide me with the code to inclupe in the program files that i'm writing.

This probably isn't possible, but part of my application uses a website that requires a plugin. My question is, is it possible to add a plugin that works with Safari to my Cocoa application so that my web view can use that plugin.
This will be in the App Store so no Private API use please.

Hi All,
Anyone seen this before? Time machine is a complete and utter PAIN IN THE REAR!
I have several problems with it:
1) why isn't mail time machine enabled?
2) why isn't itunes time machine enabled?
3) why isn't iPhoto time machine enabled?
Half a$$ed implementation if you ask me, but anyway.
I have a new problem, everytime my mac backups I get a non removable floating finder window showing me the progress.... I DONT CARE, i can't get rid of it, no system prefs that i've found can get rid of it, and it's REALLY annoying, like MS Office 97 Paper clip annoying!
Anyone else come across this? i've tried googling and searching the forums but 'Time Machine Finder Window' returns lot about enabling Time Machine on Windows! :)
Thanks!

This is a good time to sit down and write a harsh, but fair letter to the RAC Main Office to tell them what happened and how you will never go back to them for servicing. You will also never recommend them. That should hurt. Don't even say "Thank You" or "Sincerely" at the end of your letter. That ought to show them. Letters are always an effective way to get your point across.
Unless they throw it out.
Or just ask them what they would do if they went to get their windshield was replaced, and then bits of their car was falling off. If they stand there and don't know what to say, you know you got'em.

I love the ability to upgrade in missions and out in Crackdown. I love the buddy online co op play (you can get some sweet tricks and orbs playing as a team).
It doesn't have as many odd, varied courses as GTA (flying remote control helicopters?) but it's a great start for a series.
I wonder if Crackdown 2 will see us go against the agency? The ending to one left that door open.

Hmm that would be great if true. I've always liked the black MacBooks and I don't see too many people with one. Getting rare now.

I thought that hospitals were required to have backup generators...
they are required and normally the kick in, i was talking to someone that had been here for 25 years and she had never seen the back up generators not kick in.
Apparently an outside lab a mile away also lost power at the same time, something major happened.
two people were on the operating room tables when it went out, and thankfully i guess no one in CCC coded.

Well I think it'll take me some time to learn to navigate my way around. I will have to do this next clients website my old way and learn WP in my spare time ....I was trying to use a child them of a Genesis theme and trying to find certain css in PHP files was a disaster since it was a child them of the parent them....it was crazy...
I don't want to speak authoritatively and get slammed here because I'm just figuring this stuff out myself, but the BEST way I've found to do this is to downoad your ENTIRE directory that contains wordpress , then drag and drop it into TEXTMATE (http://macromates.com/) and then use command + shift + f to search through the ENTIRE wordpress directory, theme files, etc. to find what you need.
Seriously, I wouldn't even try unless you find a solution for this -- you're dealing with hundreds of files.

FAIL. How ironic that you fail at reading post #6.
Where do you think that video comes from? When you visit the original page on iPad or iPhone you get non-flash version of the video.
Yeah right like the average non-dork actually read post #6 on their iPad. LOL
Gimme a break... FAIL!
Geeks always live in a whole other world than the average person.
I know because I'm a geek, but mostly don't have geek friends! :)
Nobody on this site ever gets that! LOL
By the way, Steve Jobs himself admitted that 75% of websites use Flash and that he was hoping it would get to 50% soon. Soon? What date on the calender is "soon?"
Now on my iPhone, that's not a really big deal. But I'd used a tablet for more and different things than an iPhone.
If you spend over $500 for a computer/tablet device that doesn't show 75% of the web content, I would think you'd be disappointed.

Is there a way to record HD video using the 2011 MBP's FaceTime HD camera? PhotoBooth seems to be recording low-res video only.

See, when I started watching twit a long time ago, Leo was the poster-boy Machead. He would get into arguments with hosts (Thurrot) defending Apple products even when he was wrong. Now that twit has many more shows and a more varied audience, I feel he HAD to tone it down just so he would not alienate his viewers.
You have been watching longer than I have, so you know more than me. I think it makes sense.

I've got two 20" widescreens attached to my Power Mac at home, and I like dual screens a lot more than I thought I would. I went dual screen originally because it was the cheapest way to get the most screen space. Like a lot of people, it seems, I ended up using one screen to house all the applications I want open all the time (Adium, iTunes, pearLyrics, Mail, Finder window), and have the entire other screen for working on whatever it is I'm working on. I like having the dedicated "space" for all that stuff.
I've watched a movie on my Power Mac just once, but I also liked that I could have one whole screen dedicated to the movie, and still have another separate space for surfing the web or playing solitare or whatever else I wanted to do.
The bezel on the screens doesn't bother me nearly as much as I thought it would and the screens just seem to kind of bleed together.
If I had to choose between two 20"s and one 24", I'd likely go with the two 20"s, especially if it were cheaper.

Would Joe Jackson do this??
You bet your frickin' life he would!!!
A sleaze, in the skin of a Human Being.
If we are discussing music here, start iTunes, go to the store, enter "Joe Jackson" and you will find some music that beats anything Michael Jackson has ever done.

I got the idea from the time 11 or so years ago when my kid brother and I just finished making something on my performa 5200 together. As we did a high 5, my brother said "Now We're Mac'n!". The idea of a person being the fin of a dolphin is from a lucid dream I had 10 years ago where I ran around the dream looking for good paintings to memorize. I made the ad by buying stock photography. You can see my hundreds of other lucid dream paintings at http://www.epicdewfall.ca

That book (Kochan's Programming in Objective-C 2.0) is what is recommended in the Guide at the top of the forum indeed :
http://guides.macrumors.com/Cocoa_FAQ#What_book_do_you_recommend_for_learning_Cocoa.3F
If you already have some programming experience with C++ (your initial post stated you were new to programming), you should be fine to delve into it directly.
